Ross Wraight, former SAI Global founding CEO, heads up the launch of global certification body United Registrar of Systems (URS) in Australia and New Zealand
Globally accredited quality and standards experts United Registrar of Systems (URS) have launched into the Australian and New Zealand market, headed up by well renowned local standards expert Ross Wraight who has over 25 years of expertise in the industry, including as the former CEO of Standards Australia and the founding CEO of SAI Global.
United Registrar of Systems (URS), the privately owned UK headquartered and global UKAS accredited certification body, is expanding operations into the Australasian region. With 26 years in the industry and 40,000 clients worldwide, URS improves quality, environmental, safety and information security through verification of the application of international standards across multiple industry sectors.
In addition to accreditation by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service, UKAS, URS is also accredited by many other global agencies such as NABBCB, SAC and Dakks.

Ross brings a wealth of experience to the URS Group and has been involved in the standards world for 26 years. He was the CEO of Standard Australia, the founding CEO of SAI Global, CEO of International certificaton and training company ISC, and a Regional Director with DNVGL. He has been an ISO Council member, ISO Vice President Technical Management and Chairman of the ISO Technical Management Board, a founding member of the Worlds Standards Corporation (WSC) and a delegate to numerous in ISO, IEC, APEC CEO meetings, PASC and the WTO round in Hong Kong. HE is currently the President of the Geneva based International Federation of Standards Users (IFAN).
Ross is also the CEO of UK corporate advisory firm Standards Group, Chairman of UK digital transformation company Adapt2Digital and is an advisor to several private equity firms in Europe, the USA and Asia. Ross has had extensive and senior experience in healthcare, industrial gases and banking and private equity, and was a strategy consultant with Ernst and Young.
URS Australia has already started to build a strong stable of auditors to support the certification process for clients, and has commenced auditing across a number of industries.
